Rare Plant Sale - Replenish Your Garden
By: Maggie Thornton 06.15.2010 | Comments: 0The words 'rare plants' will increase the heart rate of any true gardener. It is something of a quest to seek out unique plants, and we place these jewels carefully into our gardens with the feelings of pride and wonder a parent experiences.
Another word that everyone, not just gardeners, will appreciate is 'sale'. When these words come together, it is cause for celebration!
And, a one-day special sale at Rare Plant Research in Oregon City this Saturday, June 19, is a reason to celebrate.
They will be open to from 10AM-1PM June 19 only with a 10% off sale. After a difficult Winter and Spring, the owners of Rare Plant Research realized that many gardeners lost special plants to the cold, wet weather. They're opening the nursery to the public on June 19 so you can replenish the 'WOW' factor of your garden. They also carry many garden plants that are not actually rare, but are still selections you won't find in every backyard.
Their ornamental gardens will be open to tour as well, so you're sure to come away with inspiration, as well as some really cool plants.
Rare Plant Research is located just South of Oregon City. Click here for a Google map. Visit their website to take a virtual tour of the garden, then head out this Saturday to see the real thing!
