My Secret Garden

Anyone passing by can see that someone who loves gardening lives here. The front lawn invites the kids and dogs to romp, and the colorful flower beds hint at what visitors will find in the rest of the landscape.

Bold garden color in every season was a primary goal for this landscape. ProGrass installed the planting beds to be the bones of the garden, allowing plants to be added as they find their way home from nurseries, plant sales and other plant-lovers' gardens.

The pond is designed to be admired from two rooms inside the home, and is the focal point when entering the backyard. It also adds a tranquil setting for patio entertaining and blurs noise from the street.

The sunny side garden, filled with colorful perennials, encompasses a path to the back yard and provides a pleasant view when dining in the kitchen. Hundreds of blooms greet garden visitors but the very special 'Winnie the Pooh' dahlia, developed by the homeowner's grandfather, holds a place of honor in the garden.
